Fund Operations Manager (Associate)

Your Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Funds Operations Manager (Associate) who will support BlueEarth fund vehicles' service providers and associated fund-level deliverables. The successful candidate will independently oversee and push process improvement with the fund vehicle service providers (administrator, bank accounts, hedging, financing, etc.) and their associated deliverables. In this position you will work with internal and external stakeholders, as well as represent BlueEarth and its fund vehicles.
The position reports to BlueEarth's Group Operations Manager in the CEO Office and your responsibilities will include:

Manage and oversee fund-level service providers:
  • Manage core fund-level third-party service provider relationships including AIFM, administrator, depository, and bank accounts
  • Coordinate feedback from wider BlueEarth team on service providers
  • Lead periodic check-ins with service providers to manage on-going deliverables and BlueEarth update requests & process improvements
  • Monitor KPIs per service provider for reporting to BlueEarth Executive Committee and/or Boards
  • Project manage the onboarding and offboarding of new/terminated fund vehicles with services providers

Execution of fund vehicle deliverables:
  • Fee & rebate management: calculation oversight & review with third-party administration providers and
  • Expense management, fund budgeting and reconciliation: management of fund expenses, incl. recharging, AIFM, administrator, depository, and audit fees
  • Operational coordination and oversight of fund transactions and post execution reconciliation, e.g. capital calls & distributions, closing rebalances, use of bridge financing, margin call execution
  • Operational oversight of investment transactions, incl. data investment entry/record-keeping
  • Ensure clear and concise record keeping of the above for Funds Controller accounts review process
  • Delivery of product obligations, e.g. quarterly accounts to funds’ bridge financing provider, annual statements to funds’ Swiss Representative
  • Support in delivery of investor-level & fund tax and regulatory reporting/filing with third-party service providers
  • Manage and ensure accuracy of fund vehicle data transfers between service providers & systems (e.g. fund administrator and portfolio management software)

Own fund operations processes and identify opportunities for improvement:
  • Maintain, develop, and document processes, deliverables and related directives & policies (e.g. Recharging Policy, Cash Management Policy)
  • Represent BlueEarth with internal and external stakeholders on fund set-up queries, including supporting Investor Relations on addressing investor inquiries where applicable


Your Profile
We are looking for a professional with the ability and willingness to excel within a highly entrepreneurial organization. The successful candidate should have:
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience in private markets or private equity/debt investments
  • Understanding of private equity-specific accounting (e.g. fund lifecycle, closings, capital calls/distributions, carried interest, valuations)
  • Experience/track record in fund operations
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent academic credentials with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or similar.
  • Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player with entrepreneurial mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, inter-personal, and written communication skills
  • Business fluency in written and spoken English is required. German preferred but not essential
